1. Pretreatment This is the operation of preparing seed batches for basic cleaning. The equipment required for this operation is usually for a single crop. Grading requires different types of separators to remove weeds and broken and undesirable seeds. The different types of classification equipment are as follows.
A. The broken seeds, weeds and other round crop seeds of the disc separator can be removed by the disc separator. It can separate impurities, especially broken seeds, other crop seeds and weed seeds, which are longer or shorter than crop seeds.
B. It has two types of grading systems, namely forward removal of impurities that exceed the required seed size. Wheat, rice reverse grading-remove impurities larger than the required seed size
C. The gravity separator utilizes the density between high-quality seeds and undesirable high-quality seeds. It uses the principle of flotation, that is, the seeds are layered on the deck according to the vibration density. It improves the germination rate of seed batches because it removes immature, broken, and undesirable seeds.
D. The difference in the roundness or shape of the seeds of the spiral separator is the use of spiral or dropper separators to remove contaminants.
E. It can remove seeds of different varieties, crops or weeds according to different degrees of seed color. The color separator improves genetic purity, seed health, and separates seeds damaged by weathering and moisture.
F. Surface texture separator removes inert substances according to the difference in surface texture, and removes rough texture weeds and other crop seeds from smooth crop seeds.
